I also am getting “Invalid color space” each time I try to download the pattern by just clicking on the link or the url you provided. Success! I did as you said and copied the link into a new window and it opened correctly!

The “Invalid color space” thing may be a browser specific issue. It happened to me in Firefox but in Opera I had no problem just clicking the link. The link worked fine in IE too. Firefox has always been cranky with PDFs, though it’s much better than it used to be.
